RACO is the Orienteering Section of the Rand Athletic Club (RAC), which is the biggest running club in South Africa. While having close links to the running Club, RACO operates autonomously, with a Committee, a fee structure and its own membership listing. All the rules of Orienteering are governed by the South African Orienteering Federation (SAOF). RACO contributes to Orienteering in South Africa, by organising events on the National and Regional Calendar, in addition to providing it's members with information on all aspects of the sport, as well as unique training opportunities. Several RACO members have previously been selected to represent SA in International competition. RACO is very family orientated (pun intended) and regularly organises social evenings and a chance for everyone to get to know one another.

Membership to RACO is open to all - a nominal membership fee is charged (you may also be coerced into buying a Club Shirt !)
